      Remember that the large-scale sewage dumping started in the pandemic. Water companies got an exemption from properly treating waste water in operational emergencies – in case supplies of chemicals to treat water were interrupted by the pandemic.

      They misused this exemption to dump massive amounts of raw sewage into waterways, because it’s cheaper, and have continued to do so since.
