Oh wowsers that’s great news. Except that we can’t power the country. Can’t expand our housing network, can’t build data centres and the government has spoken consistently about brown outs.

But wowsers we have less emissions

We’ve never been importing more electricity than before. The fact that imported power is counted as being carbon neutral is a bit of a scam.

Objectively good news that we’ve decoupled energy demand growth from rising carbon emissions.
