So now even Poland has pro-Putin candidates? Time to arrest them for treason…

    2. No_Conversation_9325 on

If each country just deports far right idiots to their master Putin, there will be no EU negativism, no immigration problems, no conspiracy theorists, no misogyny etc etc
Learn from Russia, US, Belarus – push the useful idiots through the border.

    3. He was willing to ditch an elderly man into publicly paid nursing home, he was supposed to provide for in exchange for his flat – ditching Ukraine is a nobrainer for him.

Interesting coincidence the candidate willing to ditch Ukraine for far right and pro Russian vote is….. pis candidate – a historian who knows first hand what Russians did to Poland and other countries, but hey, kremlin pays well I guess

    5. Literally admitting the far-right is being controlled by Russia.

    6. Eland51298 on

Well, and it changes a whole lot of nothing, because the truth is that Ukraine has no chance to join NATO

It just a lie for konfederacja voters, it doesn’t matter what Nawrocki and Trzaskowski will say, they wouldn’t veto Ukraine accession.

Ukraine is at war, and it doesn’t seem the war is going to end anytime soon since time is on Russia’s side at the moment – they didn’t even pretend they cared about negotiations in Turkey.

Does anyone here actually believe Ukraine will be accepted into NATO within next, I don’t know, 10-15 years? Especially if the war keeps going, no country in in NATO is going to be in favour of that. And accepting Ukraine without security guarantees would make whole idea of NATO crack.

Pretending otherwise is just a meaningless virtue signalling.

The reason he is saying this is because he wants Russia’s help winning

    10. PoppedCork on

Why would anyone vote for him? He just admitted he doesn’t have a backbone.

    11. Doesn’t matter because Ukraine is never going to be in NATO.

Isn’t it crazy how more than three years into the war *they started*, Russia has more influence over European politics than before the war? Something is seriously wrong with how we handle foreign interference in our politics.

How are these far right parties even popular in Poland? Isn’t Poland extremely anti-Russia due to its history? Shouldn’t the nationalist position be to do everything in their power to not fall under Russian domination? I seriously don’t get it.

This is such a gigantic misinformation that i don’t even know when to start. It pains me to defend PiS candidate, but some things simply need to be clarified:

      1. Nawrocki since the beginning of campaign said that he is against Ukraine joining NATO, at least until they solve the issue of Wołyń massacre. At this point, it’s an incredibly complex undertaking.

      2. Towards the end of the campaign Nawrocki admitted that solving the Wołyń issue is just the first step after which Poland may consider Ukraine’s NATO accession.

      3. This “ditching” Ukraine’s NATO accession basically means that he promised the far-right candidate that he won’t sign a legal act which will allow Ukraine to join NATO. That’s basically an empty promise, because these things are not for Poland alone to decide. That being said, Nawrocki himself is critical towards Zelensky, so his cold attitude towards Ukraine is nothing new.

As an American, I beg y’all to not make the same mistake we made by voting in a literal Russian asset.
God bless you all and fuck Russia

In fact, he risks nothing: the United States is blocking Ukraine in NATO, and that’s enough.
The situation will change, but it won’t be for another five years.

    17. I understand the concept of most of the votes here but… what actually is the support level for Ukraine joining NATO amongst NATO member states? I do recall Nordic and Baltic countries being supportive of the idea, with Germany being on the fence about it and lately US being strongly against it.

To me, the guy said he won’t let Ukraine joining NATO happen, even though it doesn’t seem very likely that it will (perhaps not during his potential term). So it sounds like gambling for a win.

    18. Guys.. Putins plan was to take Ukraine and use the ukranian soldiers to fight NATO. And just a reminder.. Poland is the NATO frontline..

I’ve seen this movie before, but the action was taking place in Bucharest.

    20. Sounds like a great plan for Poles! 😂 Move the aggressor closer to your border by stopping to support the very thing that is currently keeping it away lol… Just as smart as my romanian conationals voting with Simion or Georgescu 🤡

Waiting for it to backfire in 3… 2… 1…

Seriously this just gave Trzaskovski the perfect topic to campaign on.
