This is the same with a lot of their policies….they appeal at scaring people with boogeymen that don’t exist.

They got a lot of votes near here by convincing bumpkins that they are being invaded by people in hotels. The same area is now complaining they don’t have workers to pick crops and they will be rotting in the fields again this year…

The fellas at our Council have pledged to not undertake the Climate Change and DEI training.

Which they have done successfully because they don’t actually exist.

Reform makes up mon-existent problems to solve. Standard for the right!

      >Zia Yusuf, Reform UK’s chair, said last week there would be a “large-scale reversal” of existing LTNs in the 10 areas across England where the party won control of the councils in local elections on 1 May.

Imagine being one of those who sent £25 to this clown.

LTNs are great, the opposition to them is really weird. No one wants their local street being used as a cut through, and local streets are much easier to navigate for pedestrians and cyclists when there aren’t cars racing through them. Everytime a road is closed to through traffic, the residents don’t want the road re-opened. Traffic doesn’t get worse, it gets diverted to the main streets, where it should be.

    6. Well now that they’ve got rid of all of the LTNs, the next step is to abolish all restrictions on speed around schools. Motorists rise up and reclaim your right to drive as dangerous as you like during the school run!

See, this is where the public need to hold elected officials to account.

It doesn’t matter what party, policy, or ideology we’re talking about. Voters should not allow anyone to make commitments that are disconnected from reality.

Get away from politics as “team sports”. Pay attention to the powers and responsibilities of local government.

      Another straw man fearlessly vanquished.

Such a tragedy our electorate is so gullible.

Ha ha . The price of the Reform voter house just dropped 30%. Well done!

If you vote me Prime Minister I pledge to abolish ALL 5mph speed limits on our Great British Motorways.

They are not logical voters, so you will not convince them with arguments, facts, or data. You need to use every logical fallacy there is to play on their emotions if you’ll ever have a chance of convincing them otherwise.
