What elon did become very useful for VW group. They were about to bankrupt so bad.

One FSD regulation change in Europe will replace the whole list with Tesla

    3. AllyMcfeels on

To say that the ID7 is a car that looks two decades more modern than a Tesla (apart from much better built, and much better equipped). It’s no surprise that it’s the best-selling model.

Kinda funny to see no non german owned car companies in the top 10

    5. nighteeeeey on

and every single one of them except the audis charge like crap.

Germans are done with swastikas and swasticars just as well.

    7. 9 out of 10 cars are from the VW Group😂😂😂

7 out of 10 cars are from the MEB-Plattform 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

This month the Model Y looks promising in the eu. lets see

Here in our city in NRW, Germany, there was an auto exhibit in the centre featuring electric cars a few weeks back. Not a single TESLA in the group.

And yet not one of those ID Buzzes is mine.

      This is a travesty.

    11. SnarkyFool on

Politics aside, the build quality is crap. Why would I buy a Tesla with all of these better choices available?

    12. snakkerdk on

Same here in DK for April, where 83% of sales were EVs (Top 10, not all EVs but most are, they haven’t published just top 10 EV yet)):

      1 Skoda Elroq

      2 Volkswagen ID.4

      3 Audi Q4 e-tron

      4 Toyota bZ4X

      5 Volkswagen ID.3

      6 Skoda Enyaq iV

      7 Cupra Formentor

      8 Audi A5

      9 Cupra Terramar

      10 Volkswagen T-Roc

These list are very handy, nowadays there are so many weird new electric vehicles on the road with cryptic looking backsides without brand names , that I can’t keep up with who’s who.

(Most of the strangest ones are probably chinese ones, that don;t hit the big numbers yet and are not in this list, but I still learned a few from this list)

Iconic, politics aside, Tesla is such a SHIT car, just pure garbage.

    15. Klugenshmirtz on

Don’t care about tesla. Bring the ID. 2 out already.

    16. Germany was Tesla’s third largest market until last year. Obviously not as big as China/US, but this is still significant.

    17. Teslas are made of cheap plastic, have loads of software issues and are just ugly. You’d only buy one if it were dirt cheap or you’re a nazi musk fanboy

    18. Flaeskestegen on

      Their loss.

A new refresh Model 3 or Y absolutely blows most of these cars out of the water. Range, performance, infotainment, options, app.

    19. OnIySmellz on

MG is China owned and there is suspicion that *(parts of the)* MG4 are produced by means of forced labor within the confines of actual *’re-education camps’*

    20. HokusSchmokus on

No shit, they are bad cars and it is social and possibly professional suicide to drive around sporting a Swasticar.

    21. Spokraket on

Tesla is done. Musk is dangerous. You don’t want this guy to gain more influence than he already has.

Theyway to keep him in check is to boycott everything he sells you.

Do not feed the fascist monsters.

    22. araujoms on

As it turns out Germany does have plenty of Nazis, but they don’t buy electric cars.

    23. kroghsen on

Why would it matter that sales grew to the distribution of sales between models?

    24. qtwhitecat on

How is this surprising or indicative of anything? Foreign cars have never been that well represented in Europe. There are many factors: (1) Europe is engaged in protectionism for its car manufacturers, (2) quality of modern cars don’t differ much (couple that to (1) why pay the premium?) (3) there are more second hand parts for European cars in Europe (4) there are more European cars that fulfil European norms.

I buy second hand since I prefer owning a car outright. When I started driving I tried finding a nice used Yaris or Corolla, maybe a Honda civic. The problem is there are very few. If I look for a Volkswagen Golf V here in Austria I can find thousands of them right now on used car platforms. With Japanese cars I’m lucky if I find 100 of the same model for sale dispersed over the whole country. This is because of the reasons names above.

Wow, I had no idea Europe has so many EVs. USA is so far behind
