What happened to diplomatic immunity? Those diplomats are there, working, in what we now recognise as sovereign Palestine territory.

If they were that afraid of them deviating from the route, why not alert them? Beep them, flash your lights, find a way to get in touch with them?

But no, typical Israeli response – fire lethal weapons at them to “distance them away”.

They’re Irish diplomats. Professional operators. It’s not like they’re some terror cell on their way to train up Islamic Jihad.

It’s just more evidence that they’re now a rogue state. We think of rogue states of North Korea or Russia or whoever but Israel are speedrunning that path now.

It will be absolutely hilarious if we now need to send diplomats with an armed escort. They won’t be as keen to jump to warning shots if the people they are warning can fire back.

Can anybody tell me what kind of security detail the Irish diplomats would have?

Clearly these so called “diplomats” were actually above ground under ground tunnels and were sheltering hamas in their pockets.

So, from reading other threads on this, there were also Belgian and French diplomats in the delegation.

I read something in a Belgian newssite that they were fired on because they deviated from the predetermined designated path, and the IOF fired “warning shots” to get them back on track.

Okay, it says that the people were shot at by the Israelis because they “deviated from an approved route”. But here’s the thing that needs to be hammered home again and again (and clearly needs to be hammered home to the establishment “journalists” in Ireland also): Israel is ***illegally*** occupying the West Bank, and this has been recognised as an illegal occupation by the international community for decades. In other words, Israel has absolutely no right to be setting “approved routes” in the first place.
