    3. Let’s keep taking away the rights of prisoners, literally nothing bad could ever come of this.

Before getting your pitchforks out, consider that it’s purely on a voluntary basis.

The headline is a bit sensationalist. Convicted sex offenders may be put on medication that reduces their sex drive. Many European countries already do this, albeit voluntary in exchange for lighter sentences such as Germany, France, Czech Republic, Italy, Norway, Sweden etc. In Poland it’s mandatory if the sex crimes is against minors.

This policy will reduce rapes in the long term. Good decision to keep women safe.

Let’s ignore all ethical concerns with this. What happens if they castrate a person which is latter proven to be innocent?

    8. What happens if someone is found innocent after being forced to undergo chemical castration? How would they compensate them?

As usual a sensational headline that’s designed to attack this government.
In reality this is a program that’s been rolled out to other countries and is basically a sex drive suppressant that will not be used for every case.

The term “chemical castration” for taking drugs that reduce sexual desire is really stupid and shold be changed ASAP. It gives people completely wrong ideas on how it works.

Yeah,  not trusting current Brits to not use this on trans folk in the near future
