Serious recency bias here. I don’t want to underplay the gravity of the housing crisis, but we had 70 odd years of sclerotic torpor, both social and economic, in the 20thC.
The problems that face Ireland now and real and serious, but we’re not sending people to state sanctioned incarceration for no good reason any more.
