Just in case anyone thought multinationals ever actually gave a fuck. Here’s proof that they were only fair weather supporters when it suited them.

June 30th 23:59PM every year was already an indication of how far they were willing to support.

Honestly I always felt a bit gross and uncomfortable by the astroturfed cosiness corporations latched onto social causes. It never amounted to actual euros spent on outreach or campaigns, was always immediately dropped the moment July started.

We should never consider corporations as allies to ordinary people in any capacity, let alone social causes. All good change and progress happened despite them, not because of them.

Better this way. Noone ever thought these corporations were genuine. Just virtue signalling lurches.

Save the parade participation for people who actually care.

It’s over. Equality, not highlighting differences.

Large corporations don’t give a flying fuck about your identity ,color or creed . You’re just a number and it’s all about the bottom line . Virtue signalling on DEI . A load of bollocks .

This is genuinely disturbing. We’re watching the slow erosion of Liberal democracy. I’m worries about the future for LGBT.

Corporate sponsorship in pride was never sincere, but their inclusion meant that it was better to be with Pride than not as far as PR and societal attitudes went.

This is a canary in the coal mine. I’m worried that everything we achieved will be undone.

It’s pure cowardice at best and a clear indication that they don’t GAF about minority inclusion at worst.

The pendulum swings left, the pendulum swings right.

During the last cycle certain negative entities and actors really overplayed their hand and got incredibly disrespectful, hateful and rude with those that didn’t want to get involved or indeed disagreed with them. I suspect many of the large companies were only ever is dedicated to pride as they were because they feared negative repercussions if they didn’t.

Now the shoe is on the other foot. Companies are going to back away from pride at record speeds. I suspect that many CEOs and managers who previously had passive aggressive threats thrown in their direction because they weren’t doing enough et cetera will get out of this as fast as possible.

I would be quite happy that corporations are no longer part of pride and it reduces in size a little. Back to the way it used to be, just a bit of fun and a few speeches at the end.
