Banners “Free Imamoglu” alla riunione internazionale socialista (24 maggio 2025)

At the recent meeting of Socialist International, which brought together 89 member parties from 81 countries, a major focus was the call for the release of Ekrem Imamoglu, who was unjustly arrested and removed from his role as the Mayor of Istanbul.

Throughout the meeting, “Free Imamoglu” signs were prominently displayed. Turkish Main Opposition Party (CHP) leader Ozgur Ozel, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, and other representatives of the Socialist International publicly called for Imamoglu’s immediate release.
