They are such virtue signalling time wasters. If they got anywhere near actual power, they would waste more time pontificating about culture war bullshit than the tories.

If our climate changes, then British life will die out because it is adapted to the British climate. It will be replaced by foreign life that is adapted to the new foreign climate.

If it’s anything like Durham they have “scrapped the climate change committee” see we did what we told you, screw all this woke crap here’s the new “weather difference group”.
I care about climate change but nobody else will fix immigration so I have no choice but to vote for them.
Does a local council really need a climate change committee? Councils are going under paying for adult social care I understand not wanting to pay for something like this which arguably is duplicating the work of national schemes that are already in place and in a better position to actually make measurable differences.

I’m absolutely not condoning abolishing environmental bodies altogether but honestly I’d need some context here. Given my local council seemingly can barely afford to empty the bins and full on just stopped care for my vulnerable adult neighbor over covid (had to really lay into them to get it sorted) I’d honestly be pissed if money was being funded into committees in lieu of essential services. I suspect that’s part of reason why their predecessors were voted out. It’s great having these initiatives if the money is there but I suspect it isn’t
