Let’s go through the motions for another four years until they are reelected anyway protest….yay! We just had an election 7 months ago, the die is cast and democracy has give only given us what we as a society truly deserve.
Good and hard too by the looks of the completed builds figures being set to collapse this year.

Unless the emergency action is scrapping An Bord Pleanala, sending NIMBYs to prison, making Ireland the most attractive place in the world for property investment and giving out 50,000 work permits to builders from places like Turkey, Albania, Georgia etc – I don’t know what they hope to achieve.

Honestly they need to bring back the developer tax relief schemes present in the celtic tiger. They built 22 homes per 1000 people in 2007. Its 8 per1000 people now now. Developers had to pay very little tax on their profits then.
Along with streamlining zoning and planning laws.
I know this subbreddit would puke at the thought of developers making money but right now with construction costs they’re margins are not as impressive as you think.
I don’t care how they do it, we just need more houses any way possible.
I don’t think this protest will call for this unfortunately.

About time. I’ve no idea why this wasn’t happening in the run up to the election. SF and others missed an open goal by not mobilising the troops and protesting.
