He’s getting a lot of flack for Mobland but personally I got over it half way thru episode 1.

I like Mobland, a bit of paddywhackery but it’s fun and his accent doesn’t bother me.

He’s never been able to do any accent that isn’t “barely Navan” or “English Drama School” .
He’s not even very good at a proper cornbred American accent, lbr and he’s been living there for 40 years.
Some people just don’t have the knack.

I watched him in Black Bag and noticed for the first time how he truly has grown a big Irish head on him.

Whatever about any other accent, his Icelandic accent is en pointe. /s

He’s not great at nailing down accents. All his Irish accents aren’t great. He did an Icelandic accent in “Eurovision song contest” that I thought was quite good for him.

I didn’t mind his accent in Mobland. I’m married to someone from north Kerry and his accent does remind me of some of the locals below. She even said she had no issue with it.

He’s the best looking man to come out of this country. He can speak as he sees fit

For all those saying the accents of Mirren and Brosnan aren’t that bad, and the Irish cringe isn’t too thick, get to the last 3 minutes of E9 and tell me if you still feel that way.
I was alright with the accents until then, but holy shit.
I’d rather chew off my own testicles than see it again.

His irish accent is grand. Whatever the fuck he’s doing in Mobland is something else. Couldn’t take him seriously.
Also, why couldn’t Helen Mirren’s character just be English, instead of doing a bad one punch Mickey impression?
