Update2: I may have made a wrong assumption and I admit it. My assumption was based on the 5-digit registration number, where in Romania it is 2 digits + 3 letters, but it could be a car of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

I’m totally confused with his name. Wikipedia states his complete name is Nicusor Daniel Dan. So is Nicusor his first and Daniel his middle name? Or is Dan a nickname for Daniel and the order in Romania is switched like in Hungary (IIRC)? Daniel Nicusor would be a completely valid name for my western european ear …

To all Romanians: if you don’t have time to take part in the civic society, please find an organization that does that and make a monetary donation! Even €5 can go a long way, so don’t let thinking you can’t do enough hold you back from it. Cumulative effort is what’s important and what’s effective!

His transformation from math nerd rocker to activist and then to top tier politician was pretty incredible to watch. It only happened in 10-15 years.
I remember his earlier PR stunts when he wasn’t media trained and didn’t have a competent comms team vs now when his public appearances are very solid, his social media extremely professional. He has always been a man of substance but not of form but that has improved massively lately.
