Objectively very very bad news but the newspapers, right wing parties and sun worshipping idiots will spin it as anything but.

For the British folk global warming might be seen as positive as you get more sunny days but you need to remember your skin evolved to be in a cold climate, once the sunny days get longer you are more likely to get melanoma and such. Just an FYI

Interesting way of phrasing ‘driest and hottest,’ I’m sure it will all be fine

I love the sun and the heat and being able to enjoy all my outdoor persuits but I was genuinely happy I couldn’t do anything last couple days for the rain, as I was noticing how absolutely parched the fields round me were.

It’s strange when these sorts of things are posted that you can’t say you enjoyed the sun and a bit of warmth. Certainly, for us up here in Scotland, we sit under grey cloud and rain for most of the year so it was a very welcome mood lifter..and it looks like we’re “paying” for it judging by the forecast going forward. Surely we can accept it’s bad for farmers and probably an effect of climate change but nice for people’s moods, being able to get outdoors without 3 layers on and getting drenched etc without getting downvoted and people getting miserable and “judgey” about it?
