And you will have equipment that is American-made, that is high quality.” She implied that Washington could link the continued presence of US troops in Poland to the election outcome.
She also likened Nawrocki’s opponent, pro-European Warsaw mayor Rafal Trzaskowski, to a “socialist” of the kind who “destroyed our countries.” While PiS and Nawrocki had originally hoped for the attendance of US Vice President JD Vance, the statements made by Noem, who recently made headlines for leading a legal offensive [against Harvard University](https://www.lemonde.fr/en/united-states/article/2025/05/27/trump-admin-seeks-to-cut-remaining-federal-ties-with-harvard_6741736_133.html), could pull significant weight in a country where around 10,000 US soldiers are stationed.

I saw some[surveys](https://notesfrompoland.com/2023/06/29/poles-hold-most-favourable-view-of-us-finds-international-study/) from 2023 which showed Poland as the most pro-America in the world, even more so than Israel. Obviously that was pre-Trump but an American endorsement might help in Poland.
