The alliance is dramatically increasing its military capability targets as it views Russia as a much greater threat since its 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Expected and necessary. Russians are a threat and the US is unreliable and one step away from a hostile power. The Europeans going it alone is the only way. And that means hundreds of thousands of more troops are needed. Germany with the biggest population and biggest scaling capabilities in potential war time environments needs to shoulder a share of the burden.
Good start my estimate is that Europe as a whole needs 300 brigades half is at least logistics and supply brigades half of remaining are IT and remote OPs brigades and other half probably drone operations and the rest fielded brigades
