Funny thing is, Putin clearly hates the USSR for “national republics”. But population are fucking love it.

A person whose paranoia killed 700,000 people, and 3,7 million people got arrested, started Holodomor, the genocide of Chechens and Ingushes. And now this dictator gets a statue. Disgusting!

People need to understand that Russias problem is not just the elite. The core of society is corrupted and Russia will likely not change.

Russian hate the world and deep down they also hate themselves. If 100.000 dead Russian soldiers is still not enough for people to wake up, they won’t ever.

Sucks because I do have some good Russian friends, but they all moved to Europe to live in a vastly superior system that we need to fight for.

Mongols now like: “from a legal standpoint you are still in debt to the Golden Horde”.

This video reminded me of the Simpsons episode about Russia becoming the USSR.

      >”About this point of view (murdering innocent people in gulags) we cannot blame Stalin, because it was a system.”

Yes, you are right. It was a system. It was STALIN’S system. And you can hate Stalin AND his system.

Draw up your iron curtain and believe what you will. Just keep away from everybody else and everything will be fine.

“But also Ukraine is only a Soviet creation and therefore has no right to exist as a sovereign state.” 🤡

At the same time, people who claim USSR still exists are being arrested, because the government claims it’s a cult (which is true).

Russia celebrating a genocidal mass murderous dictator,
and he is not even dead yet…

    13. If this logic is extrapolated, then the creation of the USSR was illegitimate, and Soviet Russia illegally left the composition of the Russian Empire. The decision to dissolve the Empire should have been made by its creator – the All-Russian Emperor. But the problem is that Emperor Peter I also became illegitimate, because there was no procedure for turning the Moscow Kingdom into the Russian Empire. It happened, he’s just a Moscow king. But the imperial title (actually Caesar) was established illegally too, according to John IV the Terrible King was not real (straight from the movie). What Moscow is the Third Rome is known only in Moscow. That is, we need to talk about the Moscow Duchy, which illegally left the Golden Horde, obviously violating the exit procedure. That is, getting rid of the Mongol-Tatar yoke is an internal process. But the formation of the Moscow Duchy is completely illegitimate, as the procedure for exit from the Grand Duchy of Vladimirskiy, which in turn illegitimate left the composition of Kyiv Rus

When you have nothing positive to look forward to in the present or the future, you start looking to the past. But then again, Stalin is not a positive thing either.

Bizarre attitude to have towards someone who murdered his own people! Like do they not realise he would have killed them too if they were alive then???

Fascinating in a scary way tho

“USSR still exists”. That guy who pulled down the soviet flag off the Kremlin in 1991 must be pretty confused about now.

      Radical Opinion ahead:

Imho both Russia and USA need to be completely scrapped (in a cultural and political sense). Both countries are deeply broken and I don’t see it fixed without a complete reset.

    22. Academic_Dig_1567 on

Putin is attempting to recreate the past because his economic policies have no future. Sounds familiar?

    23. Pure-Physics1344 on

Well, historically speaking, if the soviet onion still exists, than it will be governed by Kazakhstan and not moscow.

    24. Putin’s regime dropped the “we’re now a modern, democratic country” facade years and years ago, gradually replacing it with this weird flavor of populist, nationalist agenda that’s focused on the “might” of USSR, especially in context of the second world war and the figure of Stalin. They’ve been whitewashing the atrocities committed during that time while also trying to paint Putin as Stalin’s successor on this bumpy road to make ~~Soviet Union~~ Russia the mightiest country in the world – and they’re very open about that, they’re very brazen about that.

In that sense, that “Kremlin advisor” is actually right – Soviet Union never ceased to exists, it’s still there, it still uses the exact same methods of brainwashing the populace into submission as they did in the “good” old days. There were no atrocities, Soviet Union and III Reich were never allies, Stalin might have been a harsh leader but, ultimately, was a good guy – it’s just a lie on top of another lie on top of another lie on top of another lie, and this will just get worse and worse, over time.

Hell, at this point I’m not even sure that Putin’s death will stop this process.
