It’s worth pointing out that these results do not includes voters from outside Poland, whom heavily favor PO/Trzaskowski. When included this is realistically more of a 51/49, but which is still obviously within the margin of error.

Haven’t been this nervous for a long time in a European election. We can’t afford a far-right Poland, we really can’t. And that’s not counting on the effects of the Polish people, you will have to experience the effects first and directly.

      Good luck Poland.

I don’t understand how modern politics so consistently can churn out 50 50 elections.

Does the president in Poland hold any power or is it just a ceremonial title like it is here in Croatia?

Is this again one of those elections where one side thinks that we should treat people with dignity and the other side is literally Hitler? If that’s the case, which is which?

As a Romanian who saw his effort rewarded, I warmly wish you good luck! 🤞
*PS: See you soon in democratic Gdansk, can’t wait to travel to Poland❤️*

I don’t know enough about polish politics … does the president matter? E.g. in Finland he’s hardly got any power at all.

As a UK citizen could someone explain the situation here?

    9. I’ll be honest, after hearing guys at the gym finding Nawrocki’s hooligan brawls inspiring, I have no hope left.

This is depressing. It’s absurd someone like Nawrocki even has a chance, yet alone 50%.

    11. It’s unbelievable how close it is.

I know some people who will vote for Nawrocki, they are fully aware of his criminal ties, the fact that he stole an apartment from an elderly man, and that he participated in hooligan fights while having a kid. They don’t care.

They are fully convinced that if Trzaskowski wins, Poland will be sold to Germany and we will cease to be an independent country, which they cannot allow. Then some more about woke, LGBT and bad EU. Repeating right wing propaganda without a flinch, basically.

      God help us.

      What is the Official Silence?

Is this a Polish rule to ensure the final moments of the election are fair/neutral? How does it work?
