This Nawrocki guy seems to be a real piece of work, though. Ex-hooligan, criminal connections, been involved in street fights and what have you. And similar to MAGA, all the scandals only seem to strengthen his support. No wonder that puppy-killer Kristi Noem is so fond of him.

I sincerely hope, not just for Poland’s sake, that he won’t prevail. One step forward, two steps back – Europe really had enough of that.

Okay, I read the article, and the title is pushing the “Poland hates Germany” narrative so hard, even though there is almost no mention of it in the article itself. Only at the very bottom, there is a small joke Tusk made, as he is portrayed as a German agent by PiS. And the joke itself is not anti-German in any way (the punchline of the joke is that Germans have trouble reading Polish names).

Germans love to have this simplistic view of Poland – even the mildest criticism of Germany coming from Poland (Tusk’s comment barely qualifies as criticism) is always explained with phrases like “Poland hates Germany,” “Anti-Germany always works,” or “haha, elections in Poland.”

I am both German and Polish and you guys don’t realize that the truth is in the middle. Both aren’t innocent. I know what German thinks of Poland and what Poland thinks of Germany.

If they don’t like Germany, they can suck at the Russians instead
