Is there any reason why we can’t increase the number of doctor and dentistry places in colleges? Feels like forever we have been hearing about lack of doctors in the country, why aren’t we training up more?

This needs to be brushed up to prevent decay.

Dentist and and flight attendant. Two jobs no matter what they’re getting paid, I’d refuse to do

Apparently, dental hospital is one of the most renowned in the world to study dentistry.
Attended myself for a couple of years as a patient. Seemed to me to be the majority of foreign students coming to study and return home afterwards where the money is better (my student was Candadian and amazing).
It is not a criticism of foreign students, but it does beg the question. If we have a shortage here, where is the balance between Irish students v foreign students (in terms of addressing the shortage).
That, of course, is notwithstanding they may be like Irish nurses and doctors and leave after training anyway.
