Personally out of all our neighboring ethnicities i love and respect Circassians the most. The reason behind it is that even to this day they remember what Russia did to them and what it represents.
Historically, circassians fought against us they did actually help us too against muslim invaders, this is what neighboring nationalities always do, so whenever I see Circassians that are hostile towards Georgians or vice versa I feel bad, my heart aches because I know we’re capable of doing better than that, add to that the factthat genetically we’re very similar. I personally love them and I feel very sorry that they have been genocided the way they were… hope they’ll come back
Georgians usually view all other caucasus peoples as related on some level, since they resemble Georgians both in appearance and in ethnography. However, some hold an ill sentiment towards Circassians for their involvement in the war in Abkhazia.
In 2011, the Parliament of Georgia adopted a resolution recognizing the “mass destruction and forced expulsion from their historical homeland” of the Circassian people by the Russian Empire as an “act of genocide.” And this is right act, and it has not been repealed by the pro-Russian government to this day.
I did DNA test i am 5% Circassian, 5% Greek and 90% Georgian ^^ i think many western Georgians are little bit related to Circassians )
