Not a single penny on asylum seekers. If they are on the streets, they are on the streets
No benefits or free healthcare for non citizens
Very easy, the tough part is them admitting they have been wrong for decades

> The Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) said the level of spending on health would dictate whether cuts were made to “unprotected” areas – those outside the NHS, defence and schools.
IFS nailed it. The NHS budget is now projected to ballon to £235 billion by 2029. Add in the triple locked pension projected at £159 billion by 2029. Elderly care is more modest £35 billion – mostly achieved by using cheap foreign labour that is now being cracked down on without a plan to hire locally.
Without a significant course correction, the UK is still on course to become a State run retirement home with aircraft carriers. The combined costs of NHS, Care & pensions exceeding £429 billion. Even modest reductions could transform children’s lives and give this country a fighting chance.

so austerity which has completely decimated our country is set to continue?
they can magic billions to pay for increased “defence” spending from ≈£57 billion this year to ≈£135 billion by next parliament, not based on any actual audit of current defence spend/output – purely based on an arbitrary target suggested by Trump..
but they can’t find any more money to support our failing public services or provide economy-stimulating tax cuts? disgraceful.

All thanks to Labour’s spending of everyone else’s money.

until they sort out social care, throwing money at the NHS is pretty pointless.

There is plenty of money sitting in bank accounts like a dragon hoard doing nothing
It’s a very conscious political choice to not take it to fund a better society
We need a wealth tax now

Aah yes, of course a right wing think tank would claim that.

Tax land, assets, all the things that normally the exceptionally wealthy have, and since it is here in the UK and can’t be moved, doesn’t matter if they say they’ll leave, they still going to have to pay because they can’t move it out the country.
Target all the hedge funders that strip assets from companies and run them with debt, make it so they have to pay tax regardless of if they have the company in profit or debt.
Target Shareholders, all bonus’s and gifts and donations make taxable, the more they take the more they pay.
For all UK utilities, gas, elec, water, put restrictions of 4% max in profits / bonuses, wage increases, all spare money is to go into infrastructure investment, then the rest to bring down bills as much as possible..
Once more tax comes in and people have spare cash to spend, the people will spend it happily which will bring in even more tax revenue and thus allow tax rates to be lowered for all.
So many ways to bring in money without hurting the general public and cutting services, just need someone with the balls and lack of greed to do it.

Screw austerity. You get what you pay for. And if we refuse to pay for quality then we’ll end up paying for rubbish over and over and over again.
Buy an expensive jumper. Look after it. Wear it for 50 years.
Or buy 50 jumpers for ⅓ the price.
Cheap upfront is a con.

Tax the rich, they won’t even notice, they can literally buy houses, renovate them and then rent them out for ungodly amounts or sell at inflated prices. They can literally use their money to print more money. All because people under them do the actual work that enables them to have this wealth. Stop making excuses and make all forms of income taxed equally.
