      World war 2 and soviet occupation had damaged this country permanently, there will never be progressive western Poland. We will be another Belarus, Poland may be central Europe geographically but mentally we are unfortunately Eastern Europe.

      Big shame if PIS wins. They’re anti-Russia, sure. So is their opposition. But, PIS is also anti-LGBT and anti-woman. Poland is one of the few countries in Europe where abortion is still so heavily restricted, mainly due to PIS

      They are destroying democracy by weaponizing social media and we’re too slow to react. I am afraid that if we don’t do something to educate people against this we will undermine our democratic process until there will be no way back.

      Edit: soon the left will also start doing the same bullshit because it will have become the only way to remain competitive in elections…unless we do something. Fight algorithms and educate people.

      The government and Trzaskowski’s campaign shifted to the right on sooo many issues and ignored their own social democratic / social liberal promises and yet ended up potentially losing the election in a worse way than they did in 2020 and seeing far-right win historic results. I don’t wanna say I told you so but after observing other countries i had a feeling this exact thing will happen for months now

      Narwocki is doing a better in rural areas than Duda so far but Rafal is also doing a little better in the cities so I guess we have to wait and see.

      God it’s just getting so bleak in the world. Just seems the bad guys keep getting W’s left and right with little reprieves besides Canada and Australia.

      I’ve been around the block a fair few times and I don’t reckon I’ve ever been this demoralized and scared of the future.
