An indictment has been filed against 12 individuals, including Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Izmir Mayor Cemil Tugay, CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik, Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat, and CHP Erzurum Provincial Chair Serhat Can Eş, on charges of violating the Political Parties Law.

According to a report by T24, the prosecutor, similar to other such cases, requested a political ban on the suspects for the duration of the sentence. The indictment alleges election fraud during the internal voting process, and demands that each suspect be sentenced to up to 3 years in prison.

The indictment also lists former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu as a “victim”, while former Hatay Mayor Lütfü Savaş is named as a “complainant”.

The indictment, prepared by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, states that the investigation began after allegations were made on social media and in some news outlets during and after the CHP’s 38th Ordinary Congress. These claims suggested that delegates supporting Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu were allegedly offered benefits or promised incentives to switch their votes to support Özgür Özel. The claims were said to have been made by CHP delegates, party assembly members, and other party affiliates.

      Fico in Slovakia

    3. It must be very hard for them to pretend to be a republic at this point.
