This is the interim report so we won’t get the recommendations until the summer but the conclusions so far seem to suggest everything is shit. But apparently nationalisation would be too expensive and not necessarily lead to improvements so the governments ruled it out.

We know this but fixing it, whether we nationalise the companies or not, will cost a fortune and take hundreds of years. We are talking about fixing or replacing our entire water and sewage systems here, on top of building reservoirs, and making our current rate of water usage more efficient. Not to say we should not do it but we do need to be honest and realistic as to how mammoth this task is.
We also need to see legal action against current water company owners and board members for allowing us to get in this mess in the first place.
