Proof that you can’t govern with those kind of populist parties. The only thing that government has done is fight and insult each other.
Hope our neighbours have some common sense and vote a bit with their head next election. PVV or BBB or FVD are just nonsensical parties that will never deliver anything of value.

Why do all of these far-right people look like they are sick and turning into Count Dracula?

The idiot had a PVV minister of immigration and still blamed his OWN coalition.

Further proof that the far right can’t govern and the only thing they’re good at is screaming and shouting and complaining without working on actual solutions. And people still fall for this bullshit

he literally left the government because the other parties wanted him to go through parliament with his demands and he just wanted them enacted straight away. That’s the far right for you: authoritarian putin lackeys

Suprised it lasted this long with a person who is unwilling to compromise and afraid of criticism and put a sacrificial lamb as prime minister.

We’re in such a mess still, though.
I don’t see us breaking the cycle of people voting for populist parties anytime soon.

Every far right leader is fancying their chances of outright win.
Sadly it’s all falling fast like a chain of dominoes.
Portugal, Poland, .. next comes UK, Netherlands.
Germany came incredibly close to falling down that path too. This is not just a trend.
Society is expressing their dissatisfaction with past 10+ years of policies and that’s all amplified by divisive rage-bait social media.
I do worry for my children’s future in a society unable to distinguish reality from opportunistic fabricated rage.

Which means we will have a caretaker government hosting the NATO summit in three weeks in The Hague. Where we are supposed to announce major defense investments.
It was predictable. Wilders wants to maximize damage to Europe. And doesn’t want to take responsibility for increased defense spending. Or cuts. So he picks this moment to paralyze government. Traitor.

– be far right extremists
– get in government coalition, a chance to prove yourself that you are fit to rule
– you deliver minister to deal with refugees and immigrations
– get pissed that it isnt as easy to deal with as it looks even though you have almost full control over said topic
– throw temper tantrums on twitter and dont engage in civil discussion with your coalition members, refuse to ask for help
– quit because you are incompetent and not fit to rule a country

I have never been glad a government fell, because i think in general it is bad for a country. HOWEVER, this coalition was fucking ASS. Fuck the PVV. I am glad when/if we get new elections.

It’s a case of wanting to burn everything down if your coalition partners aren’t willing to re-compromise your deal.
The foundation of the coalition is the formation where involved parties form a govern agreement. Most of the more moderate agreements made didn’t sit well with his own voters, especially when they found out the more hardline agreements weren’t achievable (which was already warned about when the agreement was made).
So the pressure was on Wilders. He started losing seats in the polls, his main opponent on the left side is gaining seats in the polls. He had to show his voters to be an hardliner again, and this is his statement. He chooses fairytales for his voters over being able to govern, compromise and strike deals.
This statement means he’s an untrustworthy coalition partner who’ll drop out anytime his voterbase is not amused. It’s very likely the VVD (conservative liberals) will rule out working with Wilders again to gain ‘tactical’ voters from the right side that want to stop the left (Groenlinks/PvdA Labour/progressives) from winning the election. CDA (Christian democrats) are gaining seats again so we’ll likely return to the structure The Netherlands had the 12 years prior to Wilders.
