> That beat the previous warmest spring recorded in 2024.
But it’s okay, because they had a hot summer in the 70s once and everyone survived.

Turns out that the climate really is changing and alternating between dry and wet seasons could be the norm for us, that is until the Gulf Stream collapses and we risk winters as cold as Russia and northern Canada. We should have acted decades ago but the fossil fuel industry tried to silence anyone who pointed out the obvious.

On Look North last night they showed a chart with the reservoir levels in Yorkshire over the last 60+ years, and the line where water restrictions have to be implemented.
They’ve never been this low at this time of year. On the current trajectory, we’d need to implement mandatory restrictions in late June to avoid going below that critical line: something we’ve only previously had to do in August-October.
Unless we have a VERY wet June and July, we could be facing some unprecedented water shortages.

That was amazing. Though it seems every time we get a glorious spring we get a washout summer.

It’s cool nothing to worry about guys. Let’s keep digging for oil, burning fossil fuels, not bother with green energy and trash the planet because other countries aren’t bothering either. Who cares if we all die. Who cares if the air turns toxic, our rivers turn brown, wildlife and nature collapses, who gives a fucking shit. The genius Reform voters have got it all figured out.

Last year sucked so I guess the average is probably sitting about right

I’m surprised it’s been higher than the spring of 2020. That one seemed glorious, constant sun (though maybe that’s the rose tinted glasses)
