CHI looking increasingly unfit for purpose
The nub of the problem is private healthcare.
It takes this being dragged into the public (via leaked extracts) for it to go to Gardai? The allegations were clear and severe and the report recommended the consultant at the centre of the weekend work piece be referred at the very least to the medical council. He wasn’t.
Usual lack of any process of accountability until there’s a public outcry. And just because it is referred to Gardai is hardly a guarantee of any concrete action.
Without reading the article I’m guessing that children haven’t been looked after properly, money has been wasted, a review will be started which will take years to complete and nobody will be held accountable for any of the issues. Am I right? Do I get bonus points for guessing that there’s comments at the end of the article from people (probably in government) who could do something about the issues but are instead taking the position of an outside observer to say it’s unacceptable and lessons must be learnt?!

Chi have taken over two floors in the one of the IFSC buildingssomehow and I constantly see more and more staff there. Wasting money. Talking shop doing nothing
