Is this the one at the time where social media was saying it was an asylum seeker, the Gardai denied it, and now it turns out that he was indeed?

you post an insane amount of articles about asylum seekers and immigrants in this sub. are we going to start posting every rape case including when white irish people are the suspect? i fear that’d be the entire sub. could you be trying to push a narrative?

I wonder how the press pick what court case to write about.

I did a week of jury service last year and outside of one or two cases everything that was brought to my jury panel was rape / sexual assault. 20+ cases at least of very disturbing charges that covered just about every possible combination of messed up I could imagine.

I dont think any of that made the news.

Was a very eye opening experience to say the least.

(if you have never done it before. Around 100 people are placed on a jury panel and you wait around the court house and then when a case is brought towards a judge a jury of 7 is randomly selected from the group. But before that you get the basics of each case like who is involved, what are the charges and where they live so if you have a reason that disqualifies you, you can tell the judge and they can send you back down to the waiting area for the next case.)

If you’re living in the country as a woman and have one of these IPAS centres dumped on your doorstep then you better invest in a German Shepard and have it trained to defend you since even pepper spray is illegal to carry with you here.
