That’s actually phenomenal! Sheltered from the weather, away from traffic and great road surface.

Infrastructure in Ireland? We don’t do that here

Most underpasses around Dublin were closed because of antisocial behaviour. They just become the perfect spot for people to deal, inject, and everything else away from the eyes of the garda

Knowing Ireland, it would take 30 years to build and billions just to get through the planning stage.

I do think it’s interesting that we tend to copy good ideas from abroad. Like, we don’t do great when it comes to original innovations, it’s always about seeing other countries implement something and copying their homework so to speak. It can be a good thing to have a canary down the coalmine but I wish we took creative chances ourselves in this regard.
Like others have stated though, this would be introduced here in Dublin no doubt and it would be taken over by young lads on e-scooters etc. We need Gardai who actually enforce the law.

No. Also Amsterdam already has a metro, why does Ireland insist on being behind the rest of Western Europe in terms of public transport infrastructure.

Throw one in here along side the metro. Boring commute but no wind or rain to worry about in a tunnel.

It would be great to get all those lycia clad angry vegans off our roads.

How would it be better than a metro?
A metro is far more urgent.
We already have cycle lanes.
They need improvement for sure though.
