Makes sense, it’s easy to believe when there is shortage of everything and everyone

I am working on a housing development. 18 months on we’re still waiting on an ESB connection and Irish Water to get the finger out. It’s not planning staff. It’s the whole fucking thing

We’re loaded just throw money at it, and just like shit some of it will stick and start to make a stink. Actually how about we just do less regulation because we clearly love the bureaucracy but unfortunately we just aren’t very good at it. That’s not likely to improve, ever.

    4. We have too much “planning”, particularly for critical projects. It’s a make work scheme for bureaucrats.

None of this was a problem during the tiger when way more houses being built.

It looks like they have started transferring their success with depriving people of basic medical care with decade long waiting lists and gp/dentist shortages to the housing scene.

This is just one more tool in their already large arsenal to keep house prices artificially high
