“Neighbors”. How about being considerate and spell *neighbours* correctly?

Deeply annoying behaviour from influencers but not sure I can bring myself to feel sympathy for a guy in a 2 million home who’s main gripe is he has to meditate in a different room

I’ve had no interest in these houses before. Now they’re black? Get me there 🖤

So instead of one striking colour they’ve gone for another? Just make it beige and boring but I guess that’s too boring.

I struggle to comprehend the entitlement here.

Imagine having the wealth to move into an iconic tree lined street in one of the most desirable areas of London, with wonderful history, culture and shopping…

And instead of embracing it, instead of feeling proud that people flock to your neighbourhood…

You become cranky about it. Because god forbid some tourists take photos outside your picturesque historical home that is considered iconic.

I’m not a fan of influencers, but I’m even less of a fan of entitled rich assholes who expect the world to revolve around then and who don’t give a damn about a single other soul.

“the noise from tourists has got so bad that he has had to move his meditation classes to the back of his house.”

Good to see that good old British pluck is still on show.

    7. I used to live nearby (as a renter) but moved out because of the sheer hoards of tourists. I have some sympathy for the owners/residents but you choose to live in one of the most touristy parts of London and then complain about tourists.

Its like moving close to an airport and complaining about aircraft noise. They can just move.

      What exactly are “influencers“ influencing?

It seems to be a catch-all phrase for people who use social media.

    9. I walked down this road just to go to a restaurant around the corner and I understand this from the people living there. Majority of the houses had gates and signs asking people not to come onto the property to take pictures and the hundreds of tourists ignored it. So many people opened their gates and walked straight up to their front door to take a picture

I welcome these houses leaving their scene kid phase and going to their goth phase.

Don’t worry, the masses haven’t quite discovered AI yet.

Once they do… these streets will be empty.

I’m not sure a kinda cool looking all-black paint job will have the effect they were hoping for

Is it possible to use infra red lights to fuck up pictures?

    14. meandering_fart on

It’s so loud outside that one resident now has to do all his wanking, apologies “meditation” in another room.

    15. Why choose to live on one of the most famous residential streets in the country and then complain there are too many people there? Lmao, no sympathy especially when they can move a couple streets over and have a house twice as big for the same price.

Just rich idiots refusing to give up their fancy addresses even though they hate living there.

    16. I do feel their annoyance. We live in a historic city popular with tourists and have to put up with some pretty entitled behaviour. On several occasions I’ve had to shout at people wandering around my garden because they wanted to get a good view of the river, despite having to walk down an alleyway and past several other houses with clear signs saying ‘private property’ and ‘no public access’. All of these have been people who spoke perfectly good English so had just decided that the signs didn’t apply to them. Worth noting that there is a public footpath on the other side of the river so people can see it from there and often did stop and take photos – which is annoying in itself if you’re trying to enjoy your garden but a price you pay for living in a touristy area. In short tourists taking photos – something you should reasonably expect and put up with. Tourists trespassing and invading your personal space – not cool.

I mean they painted thier houses in super bright colours to attract attention, they got it.

Yes influencers are some of the most annoying and cringe worthy people on the planet but what did the residents think was going to happen, especially in the world we live in today.

They only have themselves to blame.

    18. CaveJohnson82 on

So if you have enough money to live somewhere nice you should just have to accept people trespassing on your property and being loud all the time?!

      Fuck that.

These are private residences. Take a photo and move on.

*Hiiiiiiii guuuuuyzzzz…and* ***today*** *I’m at the famous Portobello Rd black houses. They were painted in 2025 because….*

      etc.

It looks very hip and appealing now, for all those goths out there, who likely aren’t any better of a crowd to have loitering outside your drawing room.
