Ukraine had to weed out numerous Russian sympathisers as their intelligence service remained infiltrated since the SBU was constructed as a sister copy of the KGB, even by 2014 when many remained in place. Realising the problem, UA sought assistence from British and American intelligence to help find and remove these agents.
This may be a contributor to why they particularly dislike Britain that they don’t admit.
