Same here in Austria. It’s sometimes baffling the amount of beer crates some people roll to their cars…

TBF: This is most likely a beverage market.

Edit. My apologies. It indeed is a regular Globus.

Ya, they use the supermarket as a warehouse, 100 boxes of each beer but no variety.

There should be an similar sized section for water too.

    5. Wait until you go into a Getränkemarkt (drinks supermarket) where it‘s just all drinks and beer and wine.

It’s quite hilarious when all you need to be happy is Augustiner Hell and Berg Hefeweizen.

So the picture isn’t taken in der Getränkemarkt? If yes, then this is not just your ordinary supermarket it’s specialised for drinks so you’d expect to find a lot of different beers

      Auswahl gut, Blick schlecht gewählt.

I thought it’s the other way around, and German beer stores have food departments in them

Only these red crates are Coca-Cola. The other ones are beer.

I miss bottles 🙁 Beer tasted so much better in a bottle. All my country has is cans now. And those prices. +30 euros for 24 x 0,33l here.

I can tell you this is legit, I lived in Cologne Germany for a few years and we use to bring a trolley to fill our garden fridges in the inner city.
      A unique situation

Returning empty crates with bottles gave a huge discount.
Then we would replace them when on special.
The beer is great quality and socially acceptable to buy in bulk.

Cologne is the only place on earth that a church in our area opened the doors to all and had music performances and food and beer for sale to celebrate their community.
This was inclusive of all nationalities and ages.
If that’s hard to believe it was finished with a rave like dance in the church Boom!
      Booze,food and music
A very progressive inclusive way of life.
Any how happy days drinking and singing in Germany .
      Loved it and their people.

All that and they still don’t have Cherry Beers like we do in Belgium with 8% of alcohol

brain- / body-destroying and submissive making drugs are needed here to keep people in check. it’s easier with nerve poison; one of the reasons why weed isn’t so welcome here.

Yeah especially on the left-hand side, that’s obviously beer.
