Legitimate fever dream. Every now and then Google will share a lock down photo, or I’ll find a random mask tucked away somewhere and be reminded about that period of time.

2020 was so nice, not a bollocks to be seen anywhere

It was such an odd time in history.
I was living in Athlone at the time, and I remember sitting on my balcony the June bank holiday evening and the town was totally silent on a Friday night. It was surreal.

I know these are pandemic photos but it could just as easily be very early morning in the city.

I remember walking through the middle of Cork and you could hear the water in the culverts under the streets and the mechanical sounds of an advertising sign moving and even the traffic light controllers relays clicking!
It was very weird.
Fascinating for a day or two but I got bored very fast.

Grafton Street without people, weeds growing………lock down was surreal

The 2020 photos need a “Ghost Town by the Specials” soundtrack.

I remember it well. I was commuting from the north side to the south and passed a whopping 3 cars on the road.

It’s exactly the same, just with people.

It reignited my deep love of Dublin City centre.
