      And guess, Russia (yandex) tried to hide potential targets.
      Fontanka ru from St. Pete:
      “Yandex hid, but showed. Petersburg enterprises were “covered” with pixels
      June 9, 2025, 1:44 PM
      Some territories and enterprises of St. Petersburg on the Yandex.Maps resource have transformed into gray spots;
      users of the mapping service drew attention to this on June 9.

      As Fontanka has found out, in the “scheme” mode, all the details on the map have disappeared,
      it is impossible to see them, and in the “satellite” mode, the terrain is covered with pixels.
      The update that the resource “rolled out” at the beginning of the week has presumably absorbed
      strategically important enterprises along with their names.
      Earlier, Yandex.Maps camouflaged military facilities in Moscow.

      However, the effect was the opposite – pixelation actually highlighted areas that previously visually merged
      with the urban development. And finding them on other mapping resources, such as Google Maps, is no problem.”

      Sure, St. Pete has many interesting places.
