Hopefully, the good run of form for Irish athletes continue after Sarah Healy’s recent Diamond League win and Mark English’s Irish record in the 800m.

Adeleke will be seeking revenge against Natalia Bukowiecka (née Kaczmarek) who beat her to Bronze in the Paris Olympics and to Gold in the European Championships last year. She’ll also face off against Amber Anning who finished one place behind her in Paris and anchored Team GB to a Bronze medal in the 4x400m, one place ahead of Ireland.

Mark English, having won three races so far this season and breaking the Irish record twice, goes into the race in the form of his life. He’ll face much stiffer competition tonight as the race features 5 of the finalists from Paris. A win is very unlikely, but he could further lower the Irish record.
