Can someone either involved, or closer to those involved, explain the idea to me?

They’re marching from Cario to the Rafah crossing in order to get aid in, but Egypt has had a policy of keeping the border strictly closed since the 90’s, (aid comes in from the Israel side of the border, hence why this has always been a big issue) and there’s a second Israeli military embargo across it as well.

So thry can’t get in because of a long standing border closure, and even if they could, they’d then be stopped by the Israeli military.
