I spent ages arguing with their customer service team on this and they insisted I got the email. Finally proved right at least. Though they’ve already charged me the seat fee due to it as went to cinema last week
“Super saver standard”? Those are the ones right at the front that give you instant neck ache, right? That’s a resounding no from me!
Who even goes to the cinema anymore?
We ditched ours when they started that whole scam. It’s actually pretty nice not being under pressure to go see something twice a month to get the money’s worth.
The fucking neck of the cunts. Streaming clearly isn’t hurting them.
it’s insane that they added some shit like this when cinemas have already been on the decline and and barely getting people in the door, this just fucked over the few that still remained
I’ve almost given up on the cinema now. Me and my partner just go occasionally to the fancy Avenue cinema in Belfast, get some wings, pizza and beer with our movie. It’s only about £5 more a ticket than the Omniplex but you can make an evening of it 🤷🏻♂️ and the seats are far nicer.
Everytime I see people complaining about Omniplex I get a perverted sense of satisfaction from it. I worked there for years and saw how they’ve slowly but surely lost all their goodwill over the years.
I still remember the day they had a lad from head office come in to observe and started making us weigh the popcorn before we served it and he’d berate us in front of paying customers for giving them too much.
Also a friendly reminder: The MAXX screen has always been a complete scam. There is no difference in the actual digital film file between the different screens and they will encourage staff to tell customers its IMAX.
I used to be someone who went to the cinema a lot, but I’ve stopped, not because that I don’t want to but because I refuse to pay their insane prices. The tiers for seating was the nail in the coffin. They can sod off.
Go to a different cinema guys if ye can, don’t support businesses that behave like this. Such bullshit.
They were inspecting tickets today to check if people were sitting in the right tier. There was only 6 people in the theatre. It’s like they want to push people away.
What happens if I didn’t get the changes email or the email about how I didn’t get the changes email…
I didn’t know people still went to the cinema regularly tbh. What do ye be looking at?
