Too late. Checking on bins should’ve been done from day one.

    2. I will just keep throwing everything in the black bin. The companies get their money and don’t care and I don’t waste my time and energy in this game of pretending that is recycling in Ireland. We are literally exporting the plastic from the return scheme to be recycled somewhere else for example, and there are documentaries about these export companies for several other countries just burning or burying this shit in poor countries, you can find them on youtube, this is not a conspiracy theory.

      Here is a good piece:

    3. Great, can we get evidence the waste is being correctly disposed, recycled and composted?

Hope they put on cameras to detect children near the front of the truck but out of sight to driver at the same time

Will this be like them old fake “TV Detector” vans that license inspectors had rolling around once?

How will they even know when the waste is in a black bag?

Like, they are only taking a picture of the contents of the bin getting dumbed into the truck.

They don’t search the actual bag.

I got one of these the other day. It was a picture of a Dunnes Stores bag with other stuff inside it. I’m kinda doubtful that it’s mine, I’d normally empty bags in. None of the stuff around it is mine, boxes off of stuff I don’t buy. Bit dodgy.

The real meaning behind is, refuse companies wants to deal with less general waste (as it costs them money) so they can decrease your waste allowance but keep increasing the monthly prices.

I used to pay 27 euro for monthly 40 kg of general waste allowance, now I pay 30 euro for 33 kg. The long game is decreasing the allowance but sky rocketing the prices.

They don’t care about the recycle bins as they earn money from it.

They’d want to start actually coming to collect the waste first 🥹

This will be obsolete in apartment buildings that share bins.not every householder bins appropriately, then neighbouring houses without bins, just bring in their rubbish.
