Cosa pensano gli europei di così tanti americani che finalmente si presentano in gran numero contro Trump oggi, durante le nostre proteste di No Kings? Questo non è un post pro-America, voglio solo vedere le prospettive europee per gli eventi

Until he’s kicked the bucket and his cabinet is in jail, America is not doing enough.
about time…
USA has 300,000,000 people
100,000,000 are pro-Trump
100,000,000 are against Trump
100,000,000 don’t care about politics.
Should have done it on election day by voting
The most powerful form of protesting they could’ve done was on Nov 8, 2024. This is meaningless.
It’s a positive sign and a powerful statement – there is still some life left in American democracy and especially civil society, which is the backbone of every civilised system.
The US is basically in a more advanced stage of the same disease that many European countries face as well – hyper-polarisation and the end of civilised national debates, replaced with shouting and ragebait contests.
I don’t know what the solution is to change course, but I do know that this is the road to hell if we don’t.
Why do people keep on bringing American politics into r/Europe? It has already stained a thousand other subs.
That’s my thought, u/[WarMonkey88](https://www.reddit.com/user/WarMonkey88/)
The predictable response is cynicism and smugness
Good to see they’re waking up to what the world can see
Most people who showed up voted for Kamala anyways, the approval rating is still 44% which is shockingly high, close to one in 2 Americans back him even after he has threatened (and continues to threaten) to invade the territory of Denmark (obviously amongst other things that might piss off Europeans), they can get fucked until 2028 at a minimum.
Not much. I’m glad to see people protesting and wish you luck, but the damage has been already done. We’re stuck with utterly unreliable US government for the next three years whether we like it or not. This will have disastrous consequences all over the planet. The way Trump treated Ukraine will go down in history books as treason.
As a European, it’s surreal to watch a country fight this hard just to keep basic democracy alive.
In Europe, protesting often means pushing for more – better pay, better rights.
In the US, it feels like people are just fighting to not lose what they already had.
That contrast says a lot
Usa us splitting.
People woke up. Their elites do not care about them !

Please think about the post Trump era… and what you want it to be.
Canadian here, more protests please.
I feel like in any country in Europe this would be just day one of a huge protest, it wouldn’t end until there was a change of some kind. Its good to see Americans finally do something but I fear they will think they did their part and now return to normal routine, with the Trump parade and Iran and Isreal all happening at the same time it also isn’t the top news story.
I compare it to how the French protests for there rights
or even better and more apt.. how Ukraine protested and at times DIED for there freedom of a pro russian regime.
Its a good start but i fear that Trump and his 2025 cohort are to far along to let it be stopped by these protests.
Remember project 2025 said “the coup will be bloodless if the left allows it”
If only there were a history of clues that he’d be a fucking idiot? … 🤔
From a Danes point of view there has sadly been very few positive stories coming from USA for a while, and I can not say demonstrations and riots is positive either.
Maybe I am to harsch on the US voter. Considering the candidates you had is it any wonder more than 1/3 did not vote. But honestly. You already tried Trump once, and then voted for him again.
You’re still too few and you are afraid of some woman leading your country, especially if she’s black. You got the chance and you missed it once. Your protests are an expression of your delusions. Most of you hate your neighbor and thought “if I vote for “him”, “he” will punish “those”, now you’re slightly recognizing it affects you too, because you’re not rich enough to count for. I hope the best for you, from the bottom of my heart.
Canadian here. It is your country. Take it back.
I think Americans love to protest and hate actually voting.
Long overdue.
I don’t think about US internal politics much if at all. Basically the moment trump was elected it was pretty clear how the situation will develop in the coming months and years.
