We simply don’t have enough energy to run our own AI at scale.
We can thank years of net zero policies for this. Time to speed up nuclear deployment so we can run this stuff in our own data-centres
I think they are probably correct in there assessment that the public sector could quite easily fall foul of the shortcomings in ai.
It’s certainly my experience that often they cannot use or understand software that’s been mainstream in the private sector for 20-30 years.
A “guidance booklet” doesn’t seem sufficient enough to replace giving staff some proper training.
