It’s Sámi for loss.
Looks like a typical ”puumerkki”, from Swedish ”bomärk”, a sort of signature. There is a multitude of those, so probably just a maker’s mark.
Ask shaman who made it. As I know they do not have any standards and are personal to person who made it.
