      Good, most tourists generate noise, filth and public transport suffocation while bringing low value due to being cheapskates. Travelling should not be for every douchebag.

      This is the result of policies focused on sheer money making rather than integration between tourists and locals.

      Authorities should have regulated the issue, the capitalistic motto “laissez faire” doesn’t work

      Housing needs regulation. Majority should have a long term lease or owner living in it.

      This should prevent the mass conversion to short rental market for tourists.

      And with limited spaces to stay, numbers should remain in check naturally.

      Limit home ownership and renting laws for people without citizenship or residency.

      “no, asshole, you cant own ten fucking houses here. you live here, you can have one, and a summer home. otherwise, you rent during your visit, or maybe lease ONE summer home, or you can fuck off. go away.”

      That might limit the housing crisis. At least from its impact by tourism.

      Most of these countries have huge tourism industries. They need to stop crying. Lot more important things to worry about at the moment

      The same can be done by Spanish and Portuguese tourists in other countries. God forbid- other tourists do the same thing in their countries. Make it make sense

      Us tourists support your economy lol. I agree there should be more restrictions on short term rentals like Airbnb, but overall, tourists are a net positive for Europeans. We account for approx 10%. of your GDP lol
