Good, get corporations out of pride. Feck off and don’t come back.
“Trayc Keevans, who advised major multinationals on investment in Ireland for international recruitment firm Morgan McKinley, said the departure of some firms did not necessarily mean a shift in corporate values.
“The reduction in public sponsorships reflects a broader shift in how multinational organisations are supporting DEI initiatives,” she said.
“Rather than wavering on their overall commitment to DEI, we are seeing they are being more intentional about deploying resources where they can have the most meaningful impact, particularly through internal programmes that directly benefit their employees and local communities while balancing that with the complex regulatory environment their parent companies are operating within.” ”

On the other hand, that means a majority of them didn’t pull out. Could be a lot worse.
Well, its very easy to back to something as long as it does not hurt the bottom line….
A much larger than 25% of small independent businesses around Dublin have no pride stuff up this year. Seems to be a real shift all right.
Pretty fed up with Pride being a non-option. Fucking PTSB bank can’t provide a working app but are able to offer a rainbow option every year.
Spend your money with the ones that stay, if there’s a choice. There’s a reason they started supporting it in the first place, to make more money and have a wider pool to recruit from and sell to. Remind them of that.
The slightest hint of any potential pushback and they pack it up.
If ever pride was needed to show support for LGBTQ+ it’s now. The world is changing and you can tell that target on the back of these groups is getting much bigger.
The companies who backed out are cowards.
Why do we need to know about people’s sexual preference and why does my local bank, park, café etc want to spend my money promoting it? Do whatever the hell you want in the privacy of your own home, as I do, and focus on some important issues.
Cowards… it just goes to show that their real intent was never to support Pride in any real sense.
It was just an exercise in virtue marketing.
I wonder how their employees feel now?
