      “Net profit at AIB rose 14 per cent last year to a record €2.35 billion”.

      Yet, the taxpayers don’t get their money back, let alone interest. And all the while, AIB has been using their losses from the crash to write down their tax obligations.

      Unsure of the details did they pay interest on the 20 bill

    3. Do any of these numbers consider inflation? Does 20b today have the same purchasing power at 20 years ago?
