As an Arab, I don’t trust the Russians. It’s true that the West and Europe can’t be trusted after everything that they have done but we Arabs didn’t forget what the Russians did in Syria either and how they supported the Assad regime. I think we should just ignore them and focus on our region.
EU could grab that chance instead, but Kallas and von der Leyen are part of the problem with the uncritical approach to Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Gaza. At this point I don’t even think they have EU’s own best interests at heart. If there is one thing that can threaten the union, it is the threat of 2 million displaced palestinians from Gaza arriving on boats from Egypt and Libya.
Numerous EU countries are providing logistical and other means of support for the upcoming US attack on Iran. The USAF flights are all being routed through European airbases and airspace. When Belarus did the equivalent for Russia, they were (rightly) sanctioned and considered part of the war effort against Ukraine.
Nobody has any moral standing. The German Chancellor lavishes praise on Israel and cheers with open arms with the war with Iran. Whilst standing there at the G7 crying about Ukraine and international law.
Humanity is fucking doomed.
Putin not doing shit to help his allies while a few months ago laughing at the West for doing the same to Ukraine.
Oh how the turn tables.
He is about to lose another “ally” in the Middle East, and the US will gain even more control over the worlds supply of oil and gas. I can only imagine how hard the Pentagon’s gigantic dick of Freedom is, looking at how vulnerable Iran is right now.
