La popolazione di azerbaijani in Iran non è del 17%, i dati che vedi su Wikipedia non hanno alcun legame con la realtà, siamo molto più numerosi (minima Figura 25%, Figura massima 34%)

Wikipedia data for the ethnic make up of iran has no connection to reality whatsoever, i dont know how they generated those numbers, anyone having seen iran even once in his life will take that data as a (not much funny) joke

the common sense in iran is that Azerbaijani’s are on the very least 30% of the population, thats what every random iranian estimates for you in the streets of Tehran

but to confirm i conducted some online survey’s for ethnicity and shared the link in completely ethnic unbiased media’s(meaning i shared it in places where there is no relation between ethnicity and user base, Telegram’s Funny channels, News channels, meme channels etc)

the results varied by channels, in the bare minimum among 10 channels tested i got 25.5% Turkic results and in maximum 34% Turkic results

The numbers for other ethnics were also interesting, Kurds got minimum of 6% and maximum of 9%, Persians got minimum of 35% and maximum of 41%, Lurs were the most unspoken ethnic compared to population, 8% to 9% in my pools

i’d suggest you rather believe my (i’ve never been outside of iran) data from pool of 25000 unbiased people compared to an Armenian dude from usa who has never been even close to iran writing stuff on his website with 0 researches

and other Azerbaijani people most likely will call me underestimating the population, because in the streets you are way more likely to counter an Azerbaijani than my 25.5%-34%, for example 70%+ of Tehran’s shopkeepers are Azerbaijani

All of Turkish-Iranian border colored as Azerbaijani which is quite far away from the truth. Almost all the border is inhabited by ethnic Kurds despite the fact that majority of West Azerbaijan province” is Azerbaijani. This map seems more unrealistic than the estimation of 17%.
