Well, yeah…
Who would “rule out” disciplining insubordinates?
Very silly thing to do.

Cool, doesn’t change that this bill is evil and will lead to people dying as a direct result.
I’ve called my MP and made my thoughts clear, as little as it will end up doing.

Firing MPs when they don’t vote for legislation makes it extra fun when they U-turn on those policies later.

If you cant vote freely then what is the point? Might as well just count MPs and skip the formality.

I doubt Rayner will be missed when her tenure is over.

I think one reason Labour spend more time out of power than in it is that they really don’t like being in power.
They’d much rather snipe from the sideline without having to face reality or compromise their high falutin’ principles.

Shame they didnt go as hard to reform the ‘huge’ migrant proplem and housing thousands of young men up and down the country in hotels at a cost of £8 million quid per day, thats right £8 million quid a day, pretty sure the maths looks more favourable in stemming the tide.
Why target the sick and disabled for so called reform ?
people want jobs, job security, better living standards & most of all they want to thrive not just survive, maybe the reform should be geared towards lowering energy costs so businesses are not going bankrupt and leaving the highstreet taking jobs along with them, billions floods out of this econonmy in to foreign lands in profits for wealthy individuals, To bring down energy costs = more jobs and more businesses thriving & surviving, its 101 economics.
What these economic warriors want to do is plunge millions more in to poverty, send crime rates rocketing up, kill a few disabled pepple off and the rest get higher taxes and a continuation of thousands flooding in to the country which is unsustainable economicaly aswell as socially.
Their reform plans dont add up,
neither does it make sense in both numbers and a social & economic sense.
if anything its backward thinking and only benefits a small proportion of society, some thing like 1% …
Who are they hoping to win votes from by waging a war on disabled people?

Well, duh. Defeats the point if they rule out to the press that there are any consequences

People yap on about democracy and ohhh but you need to vote only for the person you voted for to be MADE to tow the party line or else.
WTF is that all about?I voted for my mp to act on my behalf or at least act on their own friggin conscience and NOT to be told what to do by the party.
Not very democratic if you ask me.
Utter bullshit.

Remember a year ago when everyone was saying that Labour would never, ever do this and anyone calling them Red Tories was just a leftist bot? Good times.

Anyone else misread this while scrolling as “Ryanair refuses to rule out punishing Labour MPs”?

I would hope potential rebels would put principles above fear of punishment. It is a poor rebel who backs down over fear of punishment from their boss, while also indicative of how they feel about these cuts.
